Are you on the butter coffee bandwagon yet? If you aren’t, why not give it a try this Christmas morning? Butter coffee, also known as Bulletproof Coffee, is the perfect low-carb recipe to start your day on a keto diet. There’s nothing artificial about it.

Not only does it leave you feeling satisfied, but a bit of butter in your morning coffee—combined with the caffeine, of course—will also boost your metabolism, improve your focus, and give you a head start on the day. Whether it’s Christmas or any other morning, it’s a creamy and satisfying drink that takes a mere five minutes to make.

Christmas Morning Butter Coffee

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 2.5 tbsp coffee
  • 1 tbsp grass-fed butter
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

Instructions

  • Brew a cup of coffee in the way that you prefer. We use a French press, but a coffeemaker, espresso machine, coffee cone, moka pot, or other methods work, too!
  • Pour the cup of coffee into a blender or food processor. Add the butter, coconut oil, and optional spices. (Tip: use spices such as nutmeg, cardamom, and cloves sparingly—a pinch will do!)
  • Blend for about 10 seconds. Watch your cup of java become light and velvety-smooth!
  • Serve hot in a mug and enjoy.
